If President Abraham Lincoln had freed the slaves under the 1863 Emancipation Proclamation, he in effect, had freed no one for jurisdictional reasons. The 1863 Emancipation Proclamation was a war measure. It was meant to misuse a presidential order to promote governmental fraud. This is misfeasance.
In any event, no one is capable of freeing “slaves.” They must free themselves. It is an evolutionfrom “childhood” to adulthood.” First, “slaves” are the victims of constitutional defamation. Second, “slaves” acquired bad habits from the “propaganda” of slavemasters. Most “slaves” did not fall within the profile of a Harriet Tubman or a Nat Turner.
The federal government refused to erect a bridge over “troubled waters.” A bridge was necessary to cross over these waters from slavery to freedom. The end of slavery was like a “Titanic.” There was no “Shine” to save “poor me.” The federal government only gave a lifelineto slavemasters. Our revered ancestors had to fend for themselves.
While most of our ancestors were able to escape a physical death, they have all suffered permanent, civil deaths. No second chance. It would take more thanreparations to make us whole. There was a need for not only preventive justice but also for distributive, commutative and social justice.
Even if there had been reparations, there was an additional need for mental therapy, a transitional orientation, remedial education and continuing education. Instead, our ancestors had to face unmasked and unbridled terrorism. Sen. Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders need a history lesson. Black lives have always mattered.
The master-slave relationship emulated the parent-child relationship. The nuclear family lived in the “Big House.” The “other” family survived in the slave quarters. The white woman was the “madam”. The black female was the “mistress.” Everyone on the plantation was physically and psychologically scarred. America is a “dysfunctional family.”
I grew up during “Jim Crow” in Georgia under the Talmadge regime. Afterwards, Gov. Lester “Axe Handle” Maddox spelled relief. Blacks men and women, over twenty-one years of age, were routinely referred to as “boy” and “girl” while white children, under thirteen years of age, were invariably referred to, as “mister” and “Miss.”
Blacks, over twenty-one years of age, accepted this type of racist behavior from whites. The cause of it can be found in the slave codes. This is sociological jurisprudence. Black’s Law Dictionary defines it as “[a] philosophical approach to law stressing the actual social effects of legal institutions, doctrines and practices.” We had to re-enter society, in 1863, without socialization skills. These bad habits have continued until today.
It can be particularly found, by design, in the lack of ethics of black men and women. It means that children are raising children in addition to children leading children.
Sheep need “Judas goats.” The result is “chaos” in slave quarters. Blacks have answered Dr. Martin L. King’s question.
Children are unable to build and operate communities because they are unable to given deference to reciprocity. They must be protected by a “standing army” and an “occupying force” despite the conviction of NYPD P.O Peter Liang. We still need an HNIC. The winner is the $ilver Rites Movement.
Sen. Charles Sumner of Massachusetts was a leading proponent of black advocacy. He had the physical scars to prove it. His advice to our ancestors, who already had to pull themselves up by their bootstraps, was to form a black-oriented political party. Our ancestors had never studied HELP (History Ethics Logic Philosophy), but they needed HELP. We still need it and a black-oriented political party.
The philosophical basis of the U.S. Constitution is white supremacy. Blacks, meanwhile, are now in the process of eradicating the legacy of Dr. Frances Cress Welsing. The history of eradicating one’s legacy is rooted in the “slave codes” and in “slave burials.” The Cobb brothers of the University of Georgia Law School are laughing all the way to the bank. White ethics and white logic fuel white history and white philosophy. Her legacy must be maintained at all costs.
Brown v. Board of Education 347 U.S. 483 (1954) was the first sign of a “bait and switch.” It started with a change of name of the lead plaintiff from Briggsto Brown. The local issue was changed from “transportation” to “education.” The goal was changed from desegregation to symbiosis. White supremacists enjoy this relationship. We are still in it.
Children, of minority age, lack legal standing. Therefore, “grown children,” over twenty-one years of age, were unable to defend their children. Brown v. Board of Education ushered in, again, white paternalismwhich is a “badge of slavery.” Therefore, Brown had the effect if not having actually caused the return of blacks back to slavery.
Our children are now in a pipeline to the prison-industrial complex. This is “environmental ignorance.” See Flint, MI. President Thomas Jefferson defined “freedom” as “eternal vigilance.” No one but “slaves” can sleep soundly without requiring the employment of “watchdogs.” They suffer either historical ignorance or historical amnesia.
After winning the New Hampshire presidential primary, Sen. Bernie Sanders has put his sights on “grown children” in South Carolina. He met with a “grown child” at Sylvia’s in Harlem this past Wednesday. Sheep still need a “Judas goat” to be aided and abetted into political tricknology.
Next Thursday, Sen. Hillary Clinton will be meeting with this same “grown child.” This child was unfamiliar with the presidential bid of Dick Gregory in 1968. His decision before the South Carolina presidential primary will promote his personal interest. This is the “State of Black America in 2016” and it is the way “grown children” roll on the plantation.
“We sick boss?” A few blacks had maintained their “manhood” and their “womanhood” until they met their predictable fate. These black adults not only defended our rights but they also performed their duties on behalf of all descendants of enslaved Africans. It was always a class action. This is true parenthood.
White supremacists are “scared” of real black men and women. They must be assassinated or punished. A black adult is always involved in a “resistance movement.” First, it was the Underground Railroad. Second, Dr. King was associated with theCivil Rights Movement while Malcolm X was associated with the Human Rights Movement.
Now, all is quiet on the home front. All living dissidents are under punishment. Black victims of state-sponsored terrorism are accepting “hush money” on behalf of the class. The $ilver Rites Movement is doing just fine. Malcolm X and Dr. King have become irrelevant.
It would take a “wise elder” like Dick Gregory to provide us with comic relief. If life on the plantation were not so funny, it would be suicidal. Dick Gregory will be arriving at the Cotton Club (212-663-7980) in Harlem just in time –March 5, 2016– for “grown children” not to be attracted to a “Jim Jones.”
Bill Clinton (Sen. Hillary Clinton), as a surrogate parent, has already given us mass incarceration without a bridge to re-enter into a “free” society with social skills. See a censored Hon. Elijah Muhammad. Whites should consult an uncensored “Dr. Phil.” Capitalism has driven us insane and Sen. Sanders speaks with a forked tongue. Income inequality is not reparations.
THE NEED TO UPGRADE RESEARCH TOOLS
Malcolm X said it best: “Of all the disciplines, history is best qualified to reward our research.” Law is history, first and foremost. This is why research is an essential tool for a competent and zealous attorney. Blacks are entitled to receive well-researched and well-written articles.
Dr. John Henrik Clarke said that the nineteenth century is crucial to understanding white supremacy. My articles always use the nineteenth century as a guide. Blacks not only need to read the dictum in Scott v. Sanford, 19 How. (60 U.S.) 393 (1857) but also its letter and spirit.
Mark Riley, a former broadcaster with WLIB-AM, in a broadcast, told Elinor Tatum, publisher of the New York Amsterdam News, that my weekly op-ed pieces, alone, were worth the cost of the tabloid. This did not set well with Tatum. When her dad, Bill Tatum, made his transition, I received a pink slip. I was an unpaid journalist with the New York Amsterdam News and my writings have always been free to the community.
An award-winning journalist, Earl Caldwell, said on WBAI-FM said that my op-ed pieces were the best in New York. The production of these writings carries considerable costs. For blacks to continue to receive the best information, the acquisition of new research materials is necessary. Propaganda is the first stage of warfare. See, for example, the “Central Park 7.”
