Governor of New York State

Re:  Glenda Brawley & John White

Dear Gov. Cuomo:

I would suggest that you consult the Bible for answers to the myriad problems that are negatively affecting your gubernatorial administration.  Instead of placing the blame for your immediate problem of the prison escape on June 7, on the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, I would suggest that you consult a priest for your own perceived ethical shortcomings.

I have been a vocal and perennial critic of both your father’s administration and of your own administration.  Gov. Mario Cuomo and I met for over seven hours in February 1989.  The length of the meeting was at the pleasure of Gov. Mario Cuomo.  In the end, Steven Pagones’ name would not be unveiled as the suspect.

Over a decade later, a Dutchess Countypetit jury found that Steven Pagones had raped Tawana Brawley.  Even though Tawana Brawley was never served with a summons in Pagones v. Maddox Mason Sharpton and Brawley, Pagones is now able to pimp” her while her lawyer has been arbitrarily barred from representing her beginning in February 1989.  A bill of pains and penalties had been filed. This was not May 21, 1990.

I believe that if you ask for forgiveness, the loss of human lives from a looming inevitable human calamity could be avoided.  You are the governor of a state of more than 19,000,000 people.  The lives of these persons should not be subject to Russian roulette.  Pride and ego should take a back seat to truth.  Hurricane Sandy was a warning.

For all practical purposes, John White “died” civilly on August 9, 2006 at his home in Suffolk County, NY even though County Court Judge Barbara Khan would render judgment on March 19, 2008.  The reputation of a descendant of enslaved Africans eliminates any presumption of innocence.

The Appellate Division:  Second Judicial Department, on appeal, ruled that a black homeowner facing a white lynch mob has a duty to retreat and summon the police.  It is shameful that an appellate court would traffic in “myths” and “fallacies” with the other branches of government refusing to offer any “checks and balances.”  This is the law of New York for blacks.

Misguided blacks, who are calling for “stop, question and frisk” and for martial law, are unaware that no lawful basis exists for this extraordinary action.  The executive branch of government should seek to repeal P.L. § 140.50 as in violation of the Fourth Amendment.  This statute was enacted to combat the teachings of Malcolm X.

These misguided blacks are also unaware that a “standing army” violates the Declaration of Independence.  Police departments have no legal responsibility to prevent serious crimes.  They have a legal responsibility to investigate serious crimes.  Unfortunately, blacks are hostile to learning “legalese” and “military science.”

No one can accuse defense counsel of failing to provide competent and zealous counsel. The New York Legislature had already rigged the judicial lines.  As many blacks as possible were squeezed into the Appellate Division:  Second Judicial Department.  This would allow for the smooth and fair administration of New York’s slave code which survived July 4, 1827.

Nature has its own corrective actions.  All criminal defendants should expect equal treatment in the same manner that all inhabitants of Louisiana received equal treatment from Hurricane Katrina in 2005.  Emmett Till had been lynched on August 28, 1955 in Money, MS. Hurricane Katrina was exactly fifty years later. This was Mother Mobley’s revenge.

The Brawley family and Ralph King will be in Paterson, NJ on 2015 Father’s Day.  I can ask John White and his family to also be in Paterson, NJ.  You have barred Glenda from touching New York soil.  They are the victims of practices and policies of your administration.  These victims deserve apologies. Other victims include Ramsey Orta and Eric Garner on Staten Island.

Very truly yours,

Alton H. Maddox, Jr.
