A Family Affair at UAM Tonight

Families are encouraged to come out tonight to hear Dr. Umar Abdullah-Johnson, a nationally-certified school psychologist and author of “Psycho-Academic Holocaust:  The Special Education & ADHD Wars Against Black Boys”.  Dr. Johnson, whose late ancestor is Frederick Douglass, has a message for all school children from elementary school to graduating seniors.

He is the youngest of five Black male school psychologists in Philadelphia, the fifth largest school district in America.  His varied presentations are not only informational but also motivational to Black students and parents.  His works make him an expert in the education of Black children and on mental health in the Black community.

Alton Maddox is still licensed to practice law in New York.  If Black people believe that the right of representation belongs to the people and not to a lawyer and if they further believe that the attorney-client privilege belongs to the client and not to the attorney, he is willing to re-enter the courtroom without seeking permission from any court or judicial body. Full support from the Black community is the only condition precedent.  Maddox will fill in the blanks tonight.

There will be a change of venue for tonight, January 30, 2013 at 7:30 p.m.  The weekly, Wednesday night forum will be held at Brooklyn Christian Center, 1061 Atlantic Ave. (nr. Franklin Ave.) in Brooklyn.  It is two blocks from Elks Plaza.  Take the “C” train to Franklin Ave.  Walk two blocks to Brooklyn Christian Center.
